Well-Woman Yoga (or Womb Yoga) is the practice of connecting to the natural cycles around us, Our womb cycles, the lunar cycles, natural cycles. It reconnects us to our inner wisdom with profound and feminine practices.
Well-Woman yoga teacher training runs over 3 days 9-4pm. This training will give you beautiful yogic approach and confidence to teaching women at different stages of life. From menstruation through to menopause.
We look at the cycle of women’s lives as well as the month. With the use of asana, pranayama, meditation, yoga nidra. With cycle awareness as the foundation of this practice, you will also feel personally empowered about your own body and attitude to whatever life stage you are at. see womb yoga for more details.
Requirements- 2 years experience as yoga teacher since completing at least 200hr foundation in yoga training
or a regular dedicated yoga practice and a qualification in other therapies specialising in women’s health i.e midwife, doula, physio etc
Course Details- 4 days (28 classroom hours) + attendance to a 2 hour Well woman workshop, practical exam and 1 hour private cycle awareness session. full teachers manual.
What is covered- Basic menstrual cycle awareness, the anatomy of the female reproductive system, menstrual health and well-being, fertility and miscarriage, pregnancy* and postnatal*, peri-menopause and menopause. With the use of asana, meditation, pranayama, yoga nidra, mantra, mudra and sound practice. we will also cover self-care for teachers, running classes and workshops, lesson planning. *(pregnancy and postnatal is offered in my comprehensive pre/postnatal training)
